Summary:

GoDaddy is the world's most popular web hosting company. GoDaddy was founded by Bob Parsons who created the company out of his basement. In 2010, Go Daddy reached more than 45 million domain names under management. When that happened Go Daddy became the largest ICANN-accredited registrar in the world. The company is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. They are known for their risque marketing strategies featuring scantily clad women advertising their web hosting services.
Summary:

IPower has been around since 2001 and they have established themselves as a web hosting giant. IPower hosts more than 700,000 customers from more than 100 countries.
Email:

Economy comes with one custom email account. Deluxe comes with 500. Ultimate comes with 1000.
Email:

The starter plan gives 1 pop3 custom email account. The pro plan gives 2500 and the pro plus plan gives unlimited email accounts.
Site Builder:

All plans have a drag and drop site builder available if you want to use it. They also provide about 300 templates to choose from.
Site Builder:

There is a website builder on both the starter plan and pro plan but they have limitations. The pro plus plan offers more templates. IPower also includes a blog wizard and a photo gallery wizard.
Server Info:

You can choose between linux or windows as your operating systems on the server. We highly suggest the linux version so you can enable SSH for secure ftp access. GoDaddy uses their own custom control panel.
Server Info:

IPower offers windows server plans but for this review we are only talking about the linux plan. The control panel is not cpanel. It is ipower custom but it is very user friendly.
Bandwidth:

Bandwidth is unlimited on all packages.
Bandwidth:

Bandwidth is limited to 250GB on the starter plan but is unlimited for the other plans.
Disk Space:

The Economy Package comes with 10GB of disk space. The Deluxe package comes with 150GB. The Ultimate package has unlimited storage!
Disk Space:

Disk space is limited to 5GB on the starter plan but unlimited on the upgrades.
Stats:

The stats package is custom to GoDaddy. AWstats is NOT available.
Stats:

IPower offers both webalizer or AWstats which is very nice for keeping basic website statistics.
Database Info:

Go Daddy windows hosting supports MySQL, MS SQL (SQL Server) and Access databases while linux only supports MySQL.
Database Info:

MySQL is included in all linux packages on ipower.
FTP Info:

By default, GoDaddy suggests connecting via port 21 on Filezilla. The problem with this suggestion is it is not secure. Request SSH from GoDaddy and use port 22 (SFTP).
FTP Info:

IPower sets up SFTP by default. This is why we like them so much. They pay attention to security more than others. Remember on ipower they use port 2222 for SFTP. Download filezilla or winscp to make your life easier!
Customer Support:

Customer support for GoDaddy is provided by phone. We wish there was live chat functionality.
Customer Support:

IPower has a live chat feature for customer support. They also provide telephone and an online support ticket system.

Opinion:

GoDaddy hosts millions of websites. This causes problems. FTP disconnects very often. This is extremely frustrating if you are editing your website Filezilla or WinSCP. Their control panel is custom and it's a confusing mess to navigate. CPanel is far superior but they don't use CPanel. Their marketing is really good though. Be warned. Danica Patrick and Jillian Michaels won't show up to fix your website when you are experiencing problems. This is our honest opinion. We don't get paid to promote or slam GoDaddy in comparison to any other web host. We respect Bob Parsons for turning GoDaddy into a huge success but it is very large and bloated. There are better web hosts out there for reliability and customer experience.
Opinion:

We've hosted several websites on iPower for years. We have never had any major problems. Their custom control panel runs like a dream in comparison to some other web hosts custom control panels. Their uptime is pretty good. It takes about a day to get a response via the support ticket system which is pretty slow but at least they have live chat. They care about internet security more than other web hosts (they have a unique SFTP port!).
