Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus 2016 - SecureAnywhere Antivirus is the entry level product. It comes with antivirus which updates itself and prevents malicious scripts from changing your settings without warning. It also blocks phishing attacks.

Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus 2016 - Webroot Internet Security Plus has the same features as the SecureAnywhere Antivirus version but it also includes some upgrades such as password management and protection for mobile devices. If you need a mobile tablet protected then this is your choice.

Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete 2016 - SecureAnywhere Complete includes all the previous features but it also backs up your system onto Webroot servers in case something goes drastically wrong. It also has a file shredder to prevent files from being recovered after deleting.
Versions:

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2016 - Includes standard antivirus and spyware detection of known threats along with proprietary technology for discovering new threats before they are well known. Antivirus 2016 also provides advanced protection like anti-phishing, anti-rootkit, a URL advisor (to prevent clicking on links that are harmful) and more.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 - The Internet Security version improves on the Anti-Virus 2016 version by providing parental control options, a two way firewall, anti-spam, and an enhanced security environment for shopping and banking transactions. There is a multi-device version of Internet Security if you need to protect your PC, Mac, Android and tablets.

Kaspersky Total Security - Total Security improves on the Internet Security version by adding a secure password manager environment. Total Security includes all of the things found in Internet Security Multi-Device 2016.
Strengths:

SPEED. Webroot is the fastest in scheduled scans at 1 minute 12 seconds which is 16x faster than the competitor average.
Webroot uses 143x less disk space than the next closest competitor. Webroot security is up and running in 5 seconds 38x faster than the competitor average.
Webroot is one of the only antivirus solutions to address ransomware. What is ransomware? Ransomware is a computer virus that locks out your machine until you pay a sum of money to hackers.
Strengths:

Tremendous proactive protection. Kaspersky has an outstanding record of identifying new forms of malware before they are known and recognized. Recently Kaspersky ranked #1 out of 17 different antivirus competitors at detecting unknown spyware via an independent study by AV Comparatives.
Kaspersky provides a keylogger defense mechanism called Safe Keyboard that launches when you interact with banks or payment websites to protect passwords when interacting with banks and online payments.
The System Watcher feature monitors your PC to detect dangerous behavior and allow you to undo or rollback most malicious actions.
Virtual Sandbox:

No. WebRoot does not provide a virtual sandbox.
Virtual Sandbox:

Kaspersky offers several features to handle the sandbox environment. These include System Watcher, Safe Surf, Applications Control and Trusted Applications Mode. All these features are built for preventing malicious programs from executing.
PC Optimization:

No. WebRoot SecureAnywhere Complete 2016 offers System Cleanup, which will improve internet browsing speed, but it doesn't specifically address PC optimization / PC cleanup.
PC Optimization:

The Antivirus line does not contain a lot of PC optimization features. This would be one of the weaknesses of the Kaspersky line in our opinion.
Backups / Online Storage:

Yes. WebRoot provides automatic online backup up to 10GB per user.
Backups / Online Storage:

Yes. Kaspersky offers very nice local backup features, including backing up to a local drive, an external drive, or even FTP for online backup functionality. You can even restore to a computer where Kaspersky is not installed.
Parental Control:

No. We don't see anything specific to parental control options.

Yes. There are options to control access to access to the computer itself, the internet, programs, games, and individual websites. They even have remote management of parental controls!

No. WebRoot does not provide chat protection / IM protection to our knowledge.
