It uses machine learning and event correlation to detect threats without slowing down users. Different security policies can be applied based to an end user or group or company based on employee roles such as Human Resources or Engineers etc. Active Directory is supported for integrating and applying policies. At the web-browsing level GravityZone can restrict or block employee access to applications or web pages. Potentially harmful websites are marked in the search results and known malicious pages are blocked. Control all of this from the web-based administration console. GravityZone Business is built to handle up to 50 endpoints and 15 servers. More than this will require the larger GravityZone Enterprise product.

Avast Endpoint Protection is useful for small office networks up around 200 computers. The entry level product does not protect a server FYI. Endpoint Protection is only for workstations. You can do Remote Management from the administration console. From the console you can deploy, manage, and update the managed clients running on the network. Some of the other features include scheduling scan jobs, running reports, and monitoring network activity. If you want features like email security, file server security, etc you will need the Endpoint Protection Plus version.
