There are several big differences between AVG Free and AVG Premium Security 2012. The free version does not include options such as PC speed optimization, pro-active identity protection (aka scanning the internet for false identities of yourself), faster online video performance, firewall protection, and enhanced spam and phishing blocking. These features require the upgrade from free to paid. If you are looking for a solution for your business, you are going to need a paid version. AVG has special versions for businesses called AVG AntiVirus Business Edition 2012 and AVG Internet Security Business Edition 2012. The Business Editions offer the same level of protection expected from AVG home products but they offer more advanced protection for things like file servers and email servers. | Versions:
Panda Security has a 30 day free trial but there is no free Panda Security version. You will need to purchase the product to keep it. Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 is the entry-level product. If you upgrade to Panda Internet Security, you will get the sandbox environment (they call it Web Filter), Parental Control options, enhanced anti-spam, online backup (2GB) and remote PC Access features. Global Protection 2012 is the full suite containing all features found in the aforementioned but also includes PC speed optimization, file encryption and file shredding. If you need a business solution, Panda Security has those available. They are called On-Premise solutions.
